Root Chakra: How I See Myself
Color: RED / Location: 1st Chakra (Root Kundalini)

Vital life force energy is stored in the Root chakra, located at the base of the sacrum/spine.
This chakra reins grounding to the physical world as well as desires, sexuality, control, money and material supplies. This chakra is concerned with our sense of belonging, basic security, human survival and existence.

Balance in the Root Chakra

This energy flows upward to the Crown chakra stimulating all the cells in every part of the body. When balanced we obtain a new and greater sense of self and when not in balance it affects your confidence and insecurity. Emotional and mental causes of imbalance can manifest as aggressiveness, recklessness, power conscious, bullying, reactive, sexually obsessive, needs approval, craves excitement and possessiveness.

THE CHAKRA SYSTEM:

For the last few months I have provided a small write up on the chakras starting at the base or root chakra straight up to the crown chakra located at the top of the head. For the next few months we will take a look at each chakra, now from the Emotional/Mental causes of Imbalances.

Chakra is a Sanskrit word, which means, “wheel”. It refers to the spinning vortexes or energy centers found in the human body, the chakras. The chakras are connected to the functions of the physical body through the endocrine glands and the spinal system. The chakras balance and distributed life force or pranic energy (also known as ki or chi) and the energies of the subtle bodies to the physical body through the spine, the nervous system, and the circulatory system, thereby insuring that all of the cells, tissues, and organs of the body receive the life force energy they need. They regulate all energy coming into, going out of, and within the physical body.

When life force energy passes through the mental astral bodies, negative thoughts and emotions will interfere with the normal flow of energy into the physical body. Moreover, negative thoughts and emotions can link up with the pranic flow, and be carried into the physical. This results in imbalance and an accumulation of negative energy that flows into the physical body and results in illness and dis-ease. When this occurs, the chakras work harder to pull greater amounts of energy subtle bodies to counteract the dis-ease. If the imbalance is not corrected, the chakras themselves can weaken and become disharmonic.

As a healer to correct and heal conditions of imbalances and dis-ease, we must firs restore balance to subtle bodies and the chakras, and restore the natural flow of energy to the physical body. Many times just restoring the balance and functioning of the chakras will be enough to remedy the physical condition. Crown Chakra – How I Feel My Purpose (The Chakra of your ‘true voice!)

The Crown Chakra is the center that is able to feel a kinship with all life, all dimensions and all forms of being. It is not necessary to cleanse this chakra. The pituitary and pineal glands are energized as the energy flows upward from the Brow Chakra. A deep sense of appreciation for the physical and spiritual worlds is experienced. New creations emerge from the ascended energy. The individual’s role as creator is felt.  

Balance in the  Crown Chakra: Can be experienced as a pressure on the top of the head. Spiritual connection, understanding, knowledge, Bliss,  Source, Universal Life flow, God.

Balance in the 3rd Eye/Brow Chakra:

The Brow Chakra is the center of perception and vision.  It is located in the middle of the forehead just above the space between the eyes.  This chakra is not as cluttered as the lower chakras because, in most individuals, the powers of this chakra are dormant.  In the unaware, this chakra is used mainly for judgment of self and others.  The pineal gland is located in this center.  The cleansing and energization of this chakra integrates the left and right side of the brain, activates clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience which are the functions of the inner senses.  The individual is better able to perceive his or her relationship to the “Whole of Life”; Spiritual memories are awakened.
